Buildnow, a dynamic and expanding company, is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer (SDE-2) to join our Data &Risk Department and expand our capabilities. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in backend coding, adept at mentoring junior team members, and possessing additional expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, or microservices.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Coding Talent: Proficiency in Python is a prerequisite, coupled with experience in web frameworks like Django, Flask, or Fast API. Frontend experience is a plus.
- DevOps Expertise: Utilization of cloud platforms such as GCP, Oracle, AWS, or Azure is essential. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in CI/CD practices, dockerization, and possess a deep understanding of microservices architecture. The ability to translate business requirements into multiple technical implementation plans is a plus.
- Training & Mentorship: A collaborative team player, ready and willing to provide guidance and support to junior members within the team.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in a related role.
- Non-negotiable competence in backend coding is a fundamental requirement.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently in discussions across departments and with a non-technical audience.
- Proficiency in working within a scrum team and familiarity with agile frameworks.
- Previous direct work with Data Science, ML or ML Ops will be looked upon favorably.
- Enthusiasm for the opportunity to collaborate closely with, or adjacent to a Data Science team. Previous experience is a plus.
- Previous exposure to risk, credit, SME lending, fintech, or other lending institutions is a notable advantage.
