Buildnow, a dynamic and expanding company, is seeking a highly skilled Credit Lead to join our growing company and expand our capabilities. We are looking for an individual with a strong credit assessment experience, with a keen innovator’s eye and experience in training junior credit analysts.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment -
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants, customers, and business partners by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Work with experienced professionals to develop and maintain a robust credit risk assessment model to guide data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate on recommendations for credit limits, terms, and conditions based on risk analysis.
Process Improvement -
- Collaborate with experienced team members to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the credit/risk analysis function to enhance productivity.
Hiring & Training -
- Hire and train junior credit analysts as our operations scale.
- Provide guidance, oversee, and correct issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree or higher is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in a related role, with a strong foundation in credit analysis. Industry experience with SMEs, or trade/credit underwriting.
- Full confidence in doing credit assessments and defending or critiquing the decision’s validity.
- Enthusiasm at the prospect of updating processes as your knowledge of our company grows.
- Previous direct experience hiring and training juniors is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Basic knowledge of credit risk assessment models and financial statement analysis. Knowledge of industry standards.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently in discussions across departments.
- Proficiency in Arabic.
